Peller Explains Why He Dropped Out of University Despite Paying Over ₦2 Million

Peller has addressed criticism surrounding his educational background, maintaining that his academic journey is far from over despite frequent attacks on social media. Speaking during a live session, the popular TikTok streamer disclosed that he previously gained admission into a university and paid more than ₦2 million in tuition before eventually dropping out after the institution allegedly failed to honour an agreement.

According to Peller, earning a university degree remains one of his future goals.

"My woman is a graduate, and my future child will also be a graduate. We are all going to be graduates. Time is not late for me to go back to school," he said.

He explained that he accepted the admission after the university reportedly assured him that he would be allowed to continue creating live-streaming content while attending lectures. However, he claimed the institution later reversed that decision, prompting him to discontinue his studies.

Peller further alleged that he paid significantly higher tuition than other students at the school.

"The university I wanted to attend whined me. They deceived me that I would be streaming my classes, but they didn’t allow me stream, so I stopped going. I paid over ₦2 million. Even students attending that school today have never paid that amount, but I did," he stated.

His remarks have generated mixed reactions across social media. While some users commended his determination to return to school and complete his education, others expressed doubt over his claims regarding the tuition fees and the circumstances surrounding his withdrawal.

The TikTok star's comments come amid ongoing debates about the value of education in Nigeria, following rapper Ycee's recent criticism of what he described as the rise of an "Olodo uprising" and the growing influence of "Peller culture" on young Nigerians.
