Peller Breaks Silence Again, Defends His Impact Amid YCee Feud

Peller Fires Back at YCee Again, Says His Giveaways Surpass Rapper’s Generosity

Popular TikTok streamer and content creator Peller has once again responded to rapper YCee, escalating their ongoing social media feud with fresh claims about his impact on fans and the wider public.

The latest exchange comes days after YCee sparked controversy during an appearance on the Afropolitan Podcast, where he lamented what he described as the growing "Olodo uprising" in Nigeria. The rapper argued that the country was gradually celebrating ignorance over academic excellence, adding that society had moved beyond "Yahoo culture" to what he called "Peller culture." His comments quickly ignited heated debate online, with many defending the content creator while others agreed with the rapper's concerns about the state of education and social values in Nigeria.

Since then, Peller has repeatedly addressed YCee's remarks in a series of videos, insisting that he was unfairly singled out and that the rapper should have expressed his opinion without mentioning his name.

Peller Defends His Record of Giving

In his latest response, Peller shifted the conversation away from education and focused on what he described as his contributions to society.

According to the social media star, the amount of financial assistance and giveaways he has provided to fans since becoming famous far exceeds anything YCee has done throughout his music career.

Peller argued that although many people mock him by calling him "Olodo," he has consistently used the income generated from content creation to support people in need.

The TikTok personality maintained that generosity remains one of his greatest qualities, adding that he believes those who give freely will always receive divine blessings in return.

According to him, his charitable lifestyle is the reason he is confident he will never experience lack.

"I Will Never Lack"

Peller insisted that despite the constant criticism directed at him on social media, he remains focused on helping people whenever he has the opportunity.

He argued that some critics are more interested in insulting him than acknowledging the positive impact he has made through his online platform.

The content creator further accused his detractors of being unnecessarily harsh, saying they continue to attack him even though he has done nothing wrong beyond creating entertaining content.

According to him, content creation is simply his profession, and he deserves the same respect as anyone earning an honest living.

Peller also appealed to Nigerians to stop making him the centre of online criticism, saying he is only trying to build a successful career.

Sarcastic Swipe at Critics

During the video, Peller also mocked those who constantly criticise him.

Referring once again to the debate sparked by YCee's comments, he sarcastically suggested that his critics should leave him alone and instead focus on selling akara, roasted corn (agbado), and tomatoes.

The remarks immediately generated fresh reactions across social media, with many users interpreting them as another direct jab at YCee and those supporting the rapper's views.

Speaking in the viral video, Peller said:

"Since Ycee don blow, the giveaway wey I don do, Ycee never do quarter talk more of half of it and he is calling me Olodo. I be giver and I no go ever lack. Una wicked. Make una leave me alone. Make una go sell akara and tomatoes. Make them tell them to leave Peller alone make them go sell akara and agbado."

How the Feud Started

The disagreement between both entertainers began after YCee criticised what he described as the rise of anti-intellectualism in Nigeria.

Speaking on the Afropolitan Podcast, the rapper argued that Nigerians no longer celebrate educational excellence the way they once did. Instead, he claimed that society increasingly rewards sensational online content while paying less attention to academic achievement.

During the interview, YCee referred to the trend as the "Olodo uprising" and specifically mentioned "Peller culture" while explaining his concerns. His comments immediately went viral, attracting praise from some Nigerians who agreed with his assessment, while others accused him of unfairly attacking successful digital creators.

Peller's Earlier Response

Peller wasted little time responding.

In one of his earlier videos, he described YCee as a "very anyhow OG," arguing that an older and more experienced entertainer should have been able to express his concerns without mentioning another person's name.

He also claimed that several celebrities who publicly criticise him have privately approached him for support in promoting their songs and projects, accusing them of hypocrisy.

Education Debate Takes Centre Stage

The controversy has since expanded beyond the personal disagreement between the two entertainers.

Following YCee's comments, Peller's partner, Jarvis, defended content creators, arguing that many educated Nigerian youths turned to social media because of widespread unemployment and economic hardship.

She maintained that graduates are often forced to seek alternative means of survival when conventional job opportunities are unavailable.

Peller himself also recently disclosed that he still intends to return to school despite frequently being mocked over his educational background.

According to the TikTok star, he had previously secured admission into a university and paid more than ₦2 million in fees before abandoning the programme after the institution allegedly failed to honour an agreement that would have allowed him to continue streaming while attending lectures. His comments generated another round of debate online, with some applauding his determination to complete his education while others questioned aspects of his claims.

Mixed Reactions Online

As expected, Peller's latest comments have divided opinion across social media.

Many of his supporters praised him for highlighting his charitable acts and standing up to his critics. They argued that the value of a person's contribution to society should not be measured solely by academic qualifications.

Others, however, maintained that YCee's original comments were aimed at broader societal issues rather than at Peller personally. Some commentators argued that the rapper was expressing concern about declining educational standards and the growing influence of viral internet culture rather than questioning Peller's personal success.

Despite the differing opinions, the exchange has kept both entertainers at the centre of one of Nigeria's most talked-about entertainment conversations, with fans continuing to debate the relationship between education, social media influence, philanthropy, and success in the digital age.
